It’s a bit of everything blog, lots UK tourism info
The idea is to be a reasonably useful help web for those people out there who used to be labelled ‘Anoraks’ (think Kinder Trespass) but in their younger manifestation are outdoor and fitness folk.
Also there are a few thoughts from the newspapers and current info, some from old family ideas, some from experience and all trying to be reasonably topical for today… how to stay on track and kindof up to date, how to reconcile not having unlimited spending money (thrifty) , the problems of fuel versus money versus kids versus self…
How to be responsibly environmental in a cool kind of way, not too elitist (please find us some environmentally cool energy system nuclear energy is just crazy, biofuels are failing the third world, windmills are cool in the UK but opposed by people who love their countryside…what about old style windmills for example, water mills?)
A few basic ideas on what the economy means, what the sectors of employed people must be facing when the cuts arrive… some of us in the private sector have been through it all… Europe is only a young concept since it’s only been 22 years from the joining of East and West Germany with the Berlin wall falling and maybe that two tier system is in our conciousness… after all the countries of Europe have been at loggerheads on and off for hundreds of years (thousands…think of the Roman Empire)
Some history stuff because its cool to look back to really ancient civilisations… those iron age villages and megalith folk (where would the anti capitalism take us might be a topical link) … old crafts, technologies, places, fashions, food just maybe to put the latest media scares into perspective…
Stories to accompany places, even tv programmes…although the blog author is really reluctant to add places as film locations…too false when linked to our lovely land. TV programmes tend to link to the local community more..
Anything Anorak!
